Rocking Horses have been around for  hundreds of years and have enchanted children old and young. The first of the most well know designs  appear  in England in the 17th century, to start with only the
wealthy could afford such a toy, as a boy  King Charles I
rode one of the first examples. The early Victorian horses
were mounted on bow rockers, until Philip Marqua
invented the safety stand in 1880. Which is what stands
are based on now.

The picture above and right is a large rocking horse made out of oak with leather
saddle and mounted on a oak safety stand. All rocking horses are hand made to order
you can pick from a variety of hard woods and finishes from the most popular dapple
grey to a natural wood .  Saddles and bridles come removable or fixed in different styles.

Custom colour rocking horses.
